Our Leadership & Domain Structure

As CEO, Nawaz Zai is responsible for the overall leadership, governance, and operational management of IPIP. He provides executive oversight across all domains and ensures alignment between strategy, execution, and organizational objectives.

Nawaz leads the Networking, Communications & Integration and Events & Community Engagement domains while coordinating cross-functional initiatives across the organization. His responsibilities include stakeholder engagement, community growth, partnership development, governance, operational planning, and organizational performance.

He works closely with Domain Leads, Senior Management Team members, and external partners to expand IPIP’s reach, strengthen community engagement, and develop new opportunities that benefit members and the wider community.

Dr Waseem Akhtar provides strategic leadership and innovation guidance for IPIP, helping shape the organization’s long-term vision, priorities, and growth initiatives. He oversees the Startups, Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Research & Development domains, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and execution.

His role includes identifying new opportunities, fostering innovation, supporting strategic partnerships, and advising on initiatives that create sustainable value for the community. He works closely with Domain Leads and the Senior Management Team to drive impactful programs, strengthen organizational capabilities, and support future expansion.

Dr Waseem also represents IPIP in strategic engagements with external stakeholders, institutions, businesses, and community leaders, helping position IPIP as a leading professional and community-focused organization.

Zeeshan Khan leads IPIP’s efforts in professional growth, mentoring, and leadership development. He provides executive oversight for the Technology & Engineering domain while supporting talent development initiatives across the organization.

His role focuses on empowering members through mentoring programs, leadership development, skills enhancement initiatives, and professional networking opportunities. He works closely with domain teams to identify emerging opportunities, promote innovation, and support career progression for professionals and students.

Zeeshan also contributes to strategic planning, technology-driven initiatives, and organizational development while helping build a strong pipeline of future leaders within the IPIP community.

Ahmed Abdulwakeel leads IPIP’s global engagement, partnerships, and collaboration initiatives. He provides executive oversight for the Training & Professional Development domain while driving relationships with international organizations, institutions, businesses, and professional networks.

His responsibilities include developing strategic partnerships, identifying collaboration opportunities, expanding IPIP’s international presence, and supporting knowledge-sharing initiatives. He works closely with domain teams to establish meaningful connections that create value for members and the broader community.

Ahmed plays a key role in promoting IPIP globally, facilitating cross-border collaborations, and strengthening the organization’s reputation as a platform for professional development, innovation, and community impact.
