Irish Pakistani ICT Professionals Hosts Networking Event 2024: Strengthening Irish-Pakistani ICT Ties

Dublin, 28th May 2024 – The iPIP Networking Event 2024, with the support of Pakistan Embassy in  Dublin arranged a premier gathering specifically designed for Irish Pakistani ICT professionals, saw a remarkable turnout this evening. The event, themed “ICT Business Networking” attracted delegates from the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) The Tech Destination Pakistan.

The attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner while engaging in “meet & mingle sessions” designed to foster professional and business opportunities within the ICT sector. Local Irish businessmen and organizations, including Fingal Chamber and Enterprise Ireland, also actively participated in the event, reflecting the collaborative spirit of the occasion.

Mr. Waseem Akhtar, a Founding Member of iPIP, hosted the show and provided an insightful presentation on the ICT landscape of Ireland. Mr. Nawaz Zai, founding member iPIP, introduced the organization and its objectives, highlighting how it supports ICT students and Pakistani Irish ICT businessmen in Ireland.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to Ireland, Aisha Farooqui, addressed the gathering, underscoring the significance of ICT collaboration between Pakistan and Ireland. She emphasized that such partnerships are vital for fostering innovation and growth in both countries. The evening also saw the distribution of appreciation shields to the founders of iPIP and Irish businesses active in Pakistan, recognizing their contributions to strengthening bilateral ties.

Mr. Jamil Goheer, representing P@SHA, spoke to the attendees about the organization’s objectives and highlighted why Ireland is becoming a new tech destination for Pakistani enterprises at both private and governmental levels.

An impressive contingent of 40 companies from Pakistan is visiting Ireland to participate in the  Dublin Tech Summit 2024, a significant increase from the six companies that attended last year. This year, eight companies will exhibit at one of Europe’s rapidly growing ICT events, showcasing the strengthening relationship and increasing collaboration between the two nations in the tech sector.

The iPIP Networking Event 2024 successfully brought together a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders, fostering a spirit of collaboration and mutual growth in the ICT industry between Ireland and Pakistan.
