On Saturday, April 6, the iPIP Tigers proudly marked their first official team entry at the EID Gala Indoor Cricket Tournament held at Good Counsel GAA Club, Inchicore, Dublin. The debut was more than just about cricket—it was a showcase of community spirit, team energy, and iPIP’s expanding presence.
The team delivered a remarkable performance, securing wins in the group stage and knockout rounds. Though the Tigers faced a narrow loss in the quarterfinals, their resilience, sportsmanship, and competitive edge were on full display.
We were honoured to have Nawaz Zai, Co-Founder of iPIP, attend and support the team in person. His presence and encouragement truly boosted team morale and reflected the leadership behind iPIP’s growing initiatives.
This event was also a proud moment for the iPIP Sports Wing, which actively contributed to the planning and participation of the team. It was a step forward in promoting not just professional excellence but also physical and mental well-being—because tech professionals deserve to stay fit, active, and energized too!
Beyond the game, the tournament became an excellent platform to raise awareness about iPIP. Our custom-designed jerseys, featuring the iPIP and sponsor logos, drew great attention. Many attendees engaged with us to learn more about what iPIP stands for, and we were delighted to share details about our mission, vision, and upcoming events.
“We may have missed the semifinals this time, but we truly won by spreading the word about iPIP and showing the strength of our community. The journey has just begun!” – iPIP Sports Wing Team Lead
We look forward to seeing the iPIP Tigers return stronger, aiming for the semifinals and finals in upcoming tournaments. Our commitment to building a vibrant, active, and connected Irish-Pakistani professional community remains stronger than ever—on and off the field.
Stay tuned as iPIP continues to grow through sports, tech, and beyond!
