Hello, I’m Hamza Afridi

Over the years, Hamza has worked with multiple high-growth startups across mobility, IoT, SaaS, analytics, and operational technology platforms. His experience includes working at startups such as Bykea and Wia, where he contributed to scaling technology platforms, data systems, and product engineering initiatives in fast-paced startup environments.

Hamza also founded CYKIQ, a smart mobility and bike-sharing startup focused on creating technology-driven urban mobility solutions. The venture gained significant attention within Pakistan’s startup ecosystem and provided Hamza with hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, product development, scaling teams, and startup operations.

He later joined VetDrive as the company’s first engineer, where he played a central role in building the platform and engineering organization from the ground up. Over time, he built and led a high-performing team of nearly 20 carefully selected engineers, helping scale VetDrive into one of Ireland’s leading veterinary practice management software platforms. VetDrive’s growth and success ultimately led to its acquisition by Herdwatch, marking a major milestone in Hamza’s entrepreneurial and engineering journey.

Today, Hamza continues to lead the engineering and development of veterinary technology products at Herdwatch, focusing on scalable SaaS systems, AI-powered workflows, operational software, and product innovation for the veterinary and AgriTech sectors.

He is passionate about contributing to both the Pakistani and Irish communities by helping foster stronger connections between technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation. Hamza is particularly interested in supporting young professionals, founders, and aspiring entrepreneurs while contributing positively to Ireland’s growing startup and technology ecosystem through collaboration, mentorship, and community-driven initiatives.
